The core and windings of an oil-immersed transformer operate in insulating oil. You can choose model based on voltage, capacity, frequency, materials, and environment.

Required Capacity

Start with the connected load, expected demand, power factor and future expansion. 30kVA – 250kVA, 250kVA – 630kVA, 800kVA – 1250kVA, 1600kVA – 25000kVA.

Voltage

Confirm both the incoming grid voltage and the required output voltage. Available primary voltages include 6kV, 10kV, 11kV, 20kV, 22kV, 33kV and 35kV. 110kv and 220kv.

Core and Winding Materials

Choose between a CRGO silicon-steel core or an amorphous-alloy core. Copper and aluminum winding options are available.

Cooling and Insulating Fluid

ONAN is common for oil-immersed distribution transformers. Large units is ONAF. In extreme environments, 45# insulating mineral oil is required.

Frequency and Vector Group

State whether the system uses 50Hz or 60Hz. The vector group must match the grounding method, neutral requirements, system phase relationship and parallel operation plan.

Project Conditions

The ambient temperature, altitude, installation method, and corrosion conditions is different. The types of oil-immersed transformers will vary.

10kV Oil-Immersed Transformer

S11, S13, S20, and S22 are core models. They are fully sealed oil immersed transformers. Low loss, low noise, and high efficiency. It has excellent energy savings and reduced pollution. Suitable for utility, industrial, commercial, and rural power distribution systems.

CRGO (Cold-Rolled Grain-Oriented) silicon steel cores is widely used in oil immersed transformers. It supports a broad range of voltages and capacities.

Amorphous-Alloy Core

An amorphous-alloy core is designed for lower no-load loss. reduced by 80%. More efficient energy saving.

Transformer Winding Options

Full Copper Winding

Copper has higher electrical conductivityand lightweight. Reduce Load losses. Of course, copper also has a higher material cost.

Aluminum Winding

Aluminum usually has a lower material cost and lower weight. If you have a temporary project and limited budget, you can choose aluminum windings.

Changing the winding material affects losses, temperature rise, short-circuit strength, weight and price.
